Food has a direct effect on your mood and, subsequently, your anxiety levels. It’s not surprising. Consider going out for your favourite food, whether it’s ice cream or a tasty burger. You’re going to look forward to the experience and enjoy eating your chosen food.  

This will trigger the pleasure response in your brain, allowing you to enjoy the food while your body releases endorphins. Afterwards, you’ll feel great and that will positively affect your mood and reduce anxiety levels.  

Of course, this feeling can change when you decide that the food isn’t good for you and you start to feel anxious about your health and your future.
